Zachary Meicher-Buzzi is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in Dramatic Art and Philosophy. During his time in Chapel Hill, he served as one of the Producing Directors for the UNC Department of Dramatic Art as well as the LAB! Theatre. Zachary is now serving as the Administrative / Producing Intern and Recruitment Coordinator for the 2013-2014 season at Actors Theatre of Louisville.

Assisted company directors in producing the Apprentice/Intern Company season and lead in producing A/I Company independent projects. Supported the recruitment process, including coordinating more than 2,000 auditions nationwide for the 2014-2015 Apprentice Company. Redesigned Apprentice / Intern Alumni website to include photos, videos, bios and contact information for over 1,000 alumni of the program over the past 40 years. Built an interactive digital map of alumni around the world to promote networking and communication. Assisted in fundraising for and management of $20,000 Apprentice Showcase fund. 

 

Information Tools & Organizational Development Intern

PlayMakers Repertory Company (Chapel Hill, NC)

Lead initiative to improve collection methodology and consistency of theatre’s marketing, development and ticketing data to support executive decision making. Extensive data entry and analysis. Compiled and distributed relevant training materials for use of the Tessitura Arts Management Software Suite. Create and manage new tools for tracking important performance metrics.

Administrative and creative leader of the Undergraduate Theatre Program. Responsible for scheduling, operations and facilities management. Managed season planning of 12 fully-mounted productions and special events, company and rights management, production team development and oversight of undergraduate company of actors, designers, technicians and administrators.

Planned and implemented special events including galas, audience talkbacks and workshops for the Department of Dramatic Art’s mainstage and secondstage seasons. Collaborated with university organizations, local high schools and community groups to develop relevant educational programming.
